NC4K’s family support services are made possible by Champions like you: monthly donors who choose to stand with families not just once, but all year long.
When funding is unpredictable, it becomes harder to plan ahead and respond quickly when a family reaches out for help. Monthly giving changes that. It creates steady, reliable support that allows NC4K to say “yes” more often, and ensures families can count on help exactly when they need it most.
The Sunflower Club is rooted in a simple but powerful symbol. Sunflowers turn toward the light, even on the hardest days. They represent strength, resilience, and the ability to keep growing through challenging seasons, just like the families we serve.
Starting a monthly gift is like planting a seed. With consistency and care, your generosity grows over time, blooming into strong, dependable support that surrounds families with stability, relief, and moments of hope.
You’re always in control. You can adjust or cancel your monthly gift at any time: no long-term commitment required.
Gifts From Champions Like You Make a Direct Impact

A childhood cancer diagnosis changes everything in an instant. Parents are forced to make impossible choices, siblings feel the ripple effects, and everyday stability can quickly disappear.
Because of you, families don’t have to navigate that season alone. When a parent is worried about paying rent, we step in. When a child needs a moment to laugh and just be a kid, we create space for that joy. When a new family hears the words “your child has cancer,” we are ready to say, “We’re here.”
Every family welcomed in 2025, every household that received financial support, and every smile at an event for play represents something deeper than a number. It represents relief, connection, and the reminder that a community stands beside them.

Families Received Financial Support
Financial support is distributed in response to family requests for payment towards their housing, utilities, groceries, and gas. This type of funding means that rather than worrying about keeping the lights on or filling up the gas tank, families can focus their energy on fighting cancer with their child.

Families Attended an Event for Play
Events for play are opportunities for families to spend the day together and have fun while surrounded by a community of people who understand the challenges they are facing. During these events, families can be completely comfortable knowing that as they share in a light-hearted, joyful experience, their child is just like everyone else in the room.

Emotional support is given in the form of a family gift, intended to lift their spirits as they navigate the highs and lows of their childhood cancer journey. Unique to the family’s circumstances, these gifts include toys, arts and crafts, and gift cards to order takeout, allowing families to feel a sense of comfort and normalcy during their cancer journey.
